Static Air Balancing

Static Air Balancing
Static air balancing is typically conducted on activated sludge plants utilising fine bubble diffused aeration systems where the air distribution is split between a number of different aeration zones and/or lanes. The purpose of static air balancing is to optimise the airflow distribution such that the design distribution is met. Static air balancing can be linked in with dissolved oxygen profiling to optimise air distribution so that a dissolved oxygen set point is more easily and efficiently achieved across the aeration lane.
